Edward Hopper (1882-1967) was one of the most well-known American painters of the 20th century. The Fondation Beyeler focuses on his iconic representations of the infinite vastness of landscapes and cities in America – a central theme when interpreting his works – for the very first time in its spring exhibition. Marvel at numerous world-renowned watercolours and oil paintings of the 1910s to 1960s that can typically only be admired in the US.
