New goods market
The new goods market is cancelled until 28 February 2021 due to the Corona pandemic.
A variety of products in a central location
The Barfüsserplatz is located in the city centre and surrounded by many first-rate shops and cosy bistros. The new market is the ideal place for errands of any kind: jewellery, handicrafts from all over the world, decoration, delicatessens and clothing are just a few examples of what is on offer. There are also places where you can grab a snack or drink.
January and February: Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm at the earliest, or to 8pm at the latest
March to October: Thursday, 9 am to 8 pm
No market on 25 february and 13 may 2021. Last market-day before the autumn fair: Thursday, 7 October 2021.
A flea market stall (2 metres) costs CHF 20. Every additional metre costs CHF 10.

Traffic concept for Basel's inner city
Market traders do not need a special permit to drive to the market. The market permit also serves as permit to enter the inner city with a vehicle and must always be kept in the vehicle by the permit holder.
