Three days long, Basel is all about tradition, music and conviviality. Under the motto «Stadt und Land mitenand» (city and country together), over 12,000 participants perform in the categories of yodelling, alphorn blowing and flag waving. Visitors can look forward to more than 1,000 performances, a lively yodelling village on Petersplatz, the yodelling mile in the old town streets and, as the highlight, the colourful parade with 60 formations and around 1,500 participants. A total of around 200,000 guests are expected in the city.
