Located in front of the historic City Hall (Rathaus), the Basel City market (Stadtmarkt) is a colourful event, offering an abundance of delicacies and specialities such as vegetables and fruits, flowers, sausages, mushrooms, honey, baked goods, tea and much more. A cup of coffee, a delicious lunch and cosy seating complete the market. The market has a long tradition and is situated at the heart of Basel in an exclusive business area. Gourmets will find delicacies and specialities from the region and the marketeers offer personal advice.
Tuesday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.*
*Some stands only open until 2 p.m.
No market on Sundays and public holidays.
