The Basel Tattoo is unique in Switzerland and the second largest event of its kind in the world. Every summer, the best bands from around the world come together to perform music of all genres, from marching music to rock, folk and classical. The music is combined with elaborately choreographed marching sequences and a magnificent colour and light show against the impressive backdrop of the Kaserne Basel (Basel barracks).
