The festival ‘Em Bebbi sy Jazz’ (literally: Basel's jazz) has been held on the first Friday after the Basel school summer holidays since 1984. Around 70 bands and choirs perform within a few hours in the heart of the Old Town - and all concerts are free to attend. The fabulous atmosphere and musical variety attracts tens of thousands of music fans each year.
