28.11. – 3.12.2024 | The 2024 European Women's Handball Championship is the biggest ever: with 24 nations at four venues, including Basel.
Handball has a long tradition in Basel: several teams from Basel play in the top leagues in Switzerland. In addition, the head office of the International Handball Federation (IHF) is in Basel.

Die EHF EURO 2024 der Frauen kommt nach Basel. Die Schweiz, Österreich und Ungarn erhielten den Zuschlag für die Ausrichtung des Events. In Basel, Debrecen und in Innsbruck werden jeweils zwei Vorrundengruppen ausgetragen. Die Finalspiele finden in Wien statt.
