The markets in the market hall, in Riehen and on private property enrich city life just as much as those organised by the Canton of Basel-Stadt. The neighbourhood flea markets organised by volunteers also offer exciting insights into private homes and backyards.
Markthalle Indoor Market
The Basel Markthalle is a lively meeting place for culinary discoveries and cultural exchange. Centrally located, just a few minutes' walk from the SBB railway station, the listed domed hall invites you to linger. Visitors can discover international specialities from all over the world at around 25 food stalls. Cafés, bars and shops round off the offer. Cultural events, markets, cooking classes and parties ensure a varied and diverse programme.

Basel Neighbourhood Flea Markets
A number of Flea Markets set up by individuals for individuals take place throughout the year in different districts of Basel. Local events are organised that bring people together to enjoy simple pleasures and make unexpected discoveries during these visits to quiet backyards and hidden gardens. The venues are marked with balloons and allow for a colourful treasure hunt.

Stephanus Market
The Stephanus Market is held every Friday on the square in front of the Stephanus Community Centre at Furkastrasse 12. It offers fine products from the region – from bread to cauliflower, from cheese to potatoes. Here you will also find a stand of WERT!Stätte. This organisation has made it its mission to rescue still usable food from being thrown away and to create something new from it in order to counter wastage. A "Story Tent" also awaits in dry weather. This is a place where children can play and an exciting story is told at 10.30 a.m. Visit us, have a cup of coffee and enjoy the cosy atmosphere of our neighbourhood market. Gundeldinger Feld Weekly Market
The market has been open since 2022 and offers a good opportunity for shopping and as a meeting place. In addition to fresh bread, there are organic vegetables.

Iseli-Markt
The neighbourhood market for everyone in Iseli takes place in the middle of the playground of the Isaak Iselin school building. In addition to vegetables, fruit and baked goods, there are flowers, food stalls and much more.
