Zum 1000-jährigen Jubiläum des Heinrichsmünsters hat die Archäologische Bodenforschung in der bisher unzugänglichen Krypta unter der Vierung eine Informationsstelle eingerichtet. Entdecken Sie dort die Baureste des Münsters aus der Zeit Karls des Grossen bis zur Reformation. Exponate aus Bischofsgräbern, originale Baubefunde sowie eine mediale 270°-Inszenierung machen die lange Geschichte dieses mystischen Ortes sinnlich erfahrbar.
A l’occasion des 1000 ans de la cathédrale de Henri, le service archéologique a installé un point d’information dans la crypte sous la croisée du transept, jusqu’alors inaccessible. Venez y découvrir les vestiges architecturaux de la cathédrale, du règne de Charlemagne à la Réforme. La longue histoire de ce lieu mystique est rendue tangible par les objets découverts dans les tombes épiscopales, les structures architecturales d’origine et une mise en scène médiatique à 270°.
To mark the 1000th anniversary of Henry’s Cathedral in Basel, the Archaeological Service has set up an Archaeological Information Area in the crypt beneath the crossing, which was previously inaccessible. Discover the architectural remains of the cathedral that date back to the period between the reign of Charlemagne and the Reformation. Exhibits from bishops’ graves, original architectural features and a 270° media installation allow visitors to
use all their senses when learning about the long history of this mystical space.
