How can Basel-Stadt further strengthen and inspire its future of innovation? This question is at the heart of the strategy of »smart diversification». An initiative of the government council to develop and foster innovation promotion by 2030. The support spans across three areas:  

• innovation in life sciences
• digital innovation
• sustainable economy 

In 2025, numerous programs and solutions could be advanced together with partners – supported by the Location Promotion Act (StFG) and the associated funding instruments that strengthen innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable value creation in Basel-Stadt.
