With over 25 trade and consumer fairs, Basel is the most important exhibition centre in Switzerland and one of the most important in Europe. Art Basel, the world's most important trade fair for modern and contemporary art and Swissbau, the most important meeting place for the construction and real estate industry in Switzerland and one of the biggest trade fairs in Europe are simply outstanding. There are also lots of attractive fairs and markets in Basel, which the city plans, organises and hosts itself on public land. The trade fair business is currently undergoing a structural change.

Art Basel, the international art show for 20th and 21st century art, is universally acknowledged to be the world’s most important art fair. Over 250 carefully selected exhibitors turn the exhibition into an exceptional temporary museum. Artists, art collectors and many VIPs from the art and culture worlds meet during Art week in Basel. In May and December, the sister fairs are held in Hong Kong and Miami Beach, and in October, the new art fair Paris+ par Art Basel takes place in the French capital.

Swissbau in Basel is one of the largest construction and real estate fairs in Europe. Several hundred exhibitors showcase their products and services to about 100,000 visitors at this biennial event from the fields of planning, investment, real estate, construction, trade, education and research and private parties who are interested in construction.
Basel Autumn fair – the oldest and largest amusement fair in Switzerland

The Basel Autumn Fair is by far the most famous and oldest event of its kind, it has been going since 1471. This inner-city trade fair is one of the largest events of its kind in Europe with eight venues and around 500 annually approved shops.
Fantasy Basel
Fantasy Basel – The Swiss Comic Con is the largest convention for pop culture in Switzerland and probably the most diverse in Europe. With over 70,000 square meters of space in three halls of Messe Basel, over 60,000 visitors and a unique program, it is also considered one of the most beautiful cons in the universe by visitors from distant galaxies.
